MDA Bash For Cash 2011!
In early fall I participated in the MDA Bash For Cash 2011 with a session that was one of the items in the silent auction. Kennedy Healy who is a high school senior at Gretna High School in Gretna, Nebraska has been coordinating this event for many years.
I was thrilled to be asked to donate an item for this important event. The money that was raised is helping fund research, clinics and summer camps for children struggling with neuromuscular diseases. One of the best weeks in these children's lives is the MDA summer camp. Kids who are associated with MDA get to go to camp free for one week every year.
Rachel Dorn who is a sophomore at the University of Nebraska was the highest bidder. She had a wonderful idea of having her closest friends get together one afternoon after classes for a fun, relaxed photo shoot. I met the girls on campus and they took me to one of their favorite spots. There were many laughs throughout the shoot which made for some great portraits!
