Ducks, Ponds and Sunsets
When you think of a high school senior pictures, sunsets and a pond may come to mind, but this is the first time I have had a duck appear in a session!
Ellissa knew she wanted her senior pics taken around her hometown of Ceresco, Nebraska. The biggest obstacle was narrowing down the locations! After her and her mom came in for her pre shoot consultation they took a little drive around the locations they had mentioned and we came up with a plan. Ellissa chose the perfect locations to fit her personality and her clothing choices for each. My personal favorite was a farm that belonged to a friend of theirs with awesome old buildings and barns. We were at this location at the perfect time for the sunset to pop through the trees and with Ellissa's beautiful red hair almost glowing, we couldn't have planned it any better!
Oh yeah, and I did mention a duck in the title, didn't I? Yep, at the first location, another family friends home, we had a little helper named Aflac. He stood watch as I photographed Ellissa. If you got a little too close to him, he would take side steps to get the distance that he was comfortable with. All of us fell in love with Aflac and well, we couldn't leave him out of the photo shoot!
Summer sessions are my all time favorite. You get those beautiful golden colors that you just can't get during the fall and spring. See what I talking about below...
